This academic year has seen the re-launch of the House sport system at Verulam. The main objective of the new system has been to encourage all pupils to become involved in regular competitive sporting situations. As a continuation of this theme I am pleased to announce that the following areas of school life have expressed a keen interest to become involved in the House competition framework.
• House Readathons and poetry recital competitions.
• House Public Speaking competitions based on sports writing.
• House Drama Cup culminating in a performance evening.
• House points awarded for participation in Duke of Edinburgh Award.
• House Science competition.
